Guardians of the Path

The Sculpture Park "Guardians of the Path" is made by Grethe Irene Einarsen in collaboration with Steffen Henriksen. This contains a number of sculptures placed along the Lyngdalsstien, a popular hiking area on the Narvik peninsula.

The works originate from natural creations such as stones, roots and branches. Other objects are taken from nature, but already processed by human hands, such as an old ball of yarn or iron bolts. They have in common that they are taken from the artists' surroundings, processed and put together in new, unexpected combinations. In this way, the objects are given new content in a new context.
