AURA

NNBK (Northern Norwegian Visual Artists) produced seven unique exhibitions in 2021 in collaboration with central exhibition venues in Northern Norway to mark NNBK's 50th anniversary. Members were challenged to contribute new works that resulted in exhibitions based on sensory phenomena;                                                                                                                                      Equinox, Tvelys, Hildring, Solhund, Understrømmer, Aura and Halo.

In today's climate with a focus on sustainability, it is ambivalent to consume, and the exhibition's title "Aura" gave me associations with my own aura and potential imprints.                             In the studio, I had 100s of proofs and leftovers from previous projects. I explored how, based on leftovers from the studio, I could create new artistic expressions on the given themes.

Can I, through poetic representations, show the human ability to adapt as a factor for hope?
